About the Founder

Hello! My name's Taylor, and I'm the founder of TEAC Designs. When I first started sewing at age 12, I had no idea my love for crafting would grow into a full-fledged business. But I'm so excited that TEAC Designs has officially launched, and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes me. But before that, let me talk a little more about how we got here.

My mom taught me to sew when I was young, but I didn't really start getting into it until high school and college. I made my own prom dress in high school, along with a few--very funky--pieces of clothing. In college, I met some friends who were also into sewing and they opened my eyes to the world of cosplay. Through that, I learned not only new sewing techniques, but also different forms of crafting. Embroidery, fabric dying, woodworking, foam work, makeup and wig styling, the list goes on and on. While I don't spend as much time doing cosplay anymore, I owe a lot of my knowledge to what I learned during those years.

Besides crafting, I've also always had a love for graphic design. Taking classes in high school helped me to learn how to use Adobe products, screen print, cut vinyls, and make a comprehensive design. I took things a step further when taking design classes in college. It was there that I really learned how to composite a design, utilize color, and push my own boundaries. I spent some years working as a graphic designer, but I always missed working directly on the products.

After graduating college with a degree in Business Management, I tried out the retail game for a while. But it didn't last long. It still wasn't satisfying that desire to see products through from start to finish.

Fast-forward to today, and I've found something that truly combines everything I'm passionate about. Crafting, design, and business all play into the way I run TEAC Designs. Every product is carefully designed, created, and advertised. I'm finally able to follow my dreams and do the things I'm passionate about. It hasn't been easy, but I'm so excited to continue this journey. I hope everyone can find something they love amongst the TEAC Designs collections, whether now or in the future.
